McKinney Supra Brakes, for cheaper...

If there is anybody out there with the McKinney Motorsports Supra brake conversion, I would like to replicate the torque member brackets, seeing as how McKinney charges $500 for them, lines, and rotors.

And secondly, if I were to do this, I would like to know wether or not there is enough interest for these. I could probably sell them for about $125 a pair, and that is just a very rough estimate.

So my request is that if there is somebody out there that has them, not in use as of right now, they could send them to me, I could use them for about a week and return them with a little cash gift

As far as I know, this wasn't a very popular item, mainly because it was recently introduced, and it's quite pricey, though for their argument, they do include some high quality Stillen rotors for the $500.

My email is [email protected]

Underground Motorsports sells the bracket and hardware for $299.99
http://www.undergroundmotorsports.co...suspension.htm
For this price you get the brackets and high grade bolts ( two Hex head, Grade 10.9, M12 x 1.25 and two Allen head, Grade 12.9, M12 x 1.25).

I purchased the whole package from Underground Motorsports. They don't tell you that you have to get the rotors machined once you get them, which cost me another $100. If I was to do it over again I would have just purchased the kit from McKinney. I believe they sell the kit with machined rotors.

Figure the price of the brackets, (4) high grade bolts, Brembo Supra TT rotors, the cost of having the rotors machine, and your time ordering parts and having parts machined and the price will probably be close to $500, if not over.

With Hawk HPS pads the brakes are great.

No doubt that going with this setup is a great route, and McKinney is relatively well priced for everything that is included in their package. All I'm saying is that I could make identical pieces, accurate to within +/-.0005 inch.....for cheaper!

If I know Zilvian's, they like the bigger and better for cheap and cheaper. For people wanting to build their own kit, like me, say with Project Mu rotors or R32 Calipers, or for guys and girls who have already bought some Z32 calipers that are just collecting dust waiting for rotors or a chance to piece together a Supra kit, here is their chance.
I'm just gauging interest with this thread. If they are going to become available through me, I will make it official.

bump. I'm gauging interest in this. If need be, I will buy the bracket kit for $300 also.

if your going to fab some brackets and sell them, as a service. i think 150 is a good price for them. its dope that you would probably consider doing this. love that diy kind of mind... but yeah 300 for brackets is kinda steep.

They have a U.S. patent on the design, so please dont copy them verbatim or you are going to have legal issues...

Mack McKinney doesnt jack around about people copying his stuff....trust me..I've talked to him about his hiring lawyers several times...

And I still cant believe it cost you $100....

All you have to do is bore out the center of the rotor hubs, as the 240SX hubs are larger...

If I would have known it was gonna cost you $100, I would have offered to have it done locally for $15/per rotor....

I feel bad for you, because you got ripped off...It took less than 5 minutes total for them to machine them...
