San Jose Paint Jobs

anyone know where i can have my car painted in the san jose/milpitas area for a grand and under...i dont need show car quality, just nice enough to not be embarassed about it (decent)

i just need the exterior black, thats all, with gloss of course

i was thinking Earls, but all the horror stories are scarin me away

anyone know a better place or even a hookup?

my cousin got his CRX painted there, and it came out pretty clean. nice and shinny. paid about 400-500 i think

black is an easy color to fuck up..i predict orange peel for low costs.

Seriously, dont cheap out. You say under a grand but don't want horror stories. I mean its a lot of work to paint a car, they gotta make a living. If you pay a grand or under, they arent going to put sweat and tears into your paintjob.

I painted my car myself. Body work took me 2 months. Materials cost about 900. You gotta pay to play.

understandable, but at the same time, i dont want a paint job that costs more than my car

Earl Sheib put down a few coats of black on my car for $450. They did pretty good too. The only problem with black is it shows all the defects in the body, scratches, small dents, dings.

where is earl sheib? i'd like to do the same thing. i can't afford an expensive paint job.
