Few more 5spd swap questions, iv'e searched - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Jsut a few questions before i tear into the car. I have read over several 5spd swap guids but none i have read explain thses three questions.

1. Are the ecu's for OBD1 and OBD2 s14's the same? I have a s14 manual ecu that has has 3C as the ecu type. Is this a OBD1 or OBD2 ecu for a S14? Will this ECU work for a 1996 OBD2 S14?

2. When usisng a OBD2 S14 manual ECU for a 5spd swap in a 1996 240, is the ecu a direct bolt in? Or do you have to swtitch around some pins on the harness?

3. When you jumper the wires under the hood by the fuse box, which side of the conenctor do you splice together? The side closest to the fender or the side closest to the motor?
