My cruise control does not work..

I have a 95 240sx, and I just found out my cruise control is not working. I know it was functioning end of december when i used it drivng down to so cal for D1, but last week on a long drive i decided to use it, and it was no go. The main cruise control light turns on, but i can not set a speed, and the cruise light on the dash doesnt light up. If anyone out there had this problem please let me know what you did to solve it. Its not a big deal that it doesnt work, just on those longggggg drives

I had the same problem with my '91. When I searched the cars C/C, I found out the vacuum hose was cracked at the tip and not on the diaphram thingy.

F S M.

Could be any of the following:

cruise main switch
spiral cable
clutch cruise cancel switch
brake cruise cancel switch
cruise control main unit
cruise vacuum pump
cruise actuator

Start tracing.

Edited for those who can't fucking read.

Nope..clutch switch is just for the starter.

There's actually a cruise control switch above the clutch pedal

when ever that happens to me i find that if i put the car into nuetral, then back into gear the cruise controll works. i figure for my car there is a sensor in the tranny that is becoming faulty, thats just how it seems

That's what I said, clutch switch, as in cruise clutch switch. We are talking about the cruise system, why in hell would I mention the clutch start switch?

Just wanted to point out that there are two clutch switches, one for the starter and the other for CC. Just incase he didn't know that.

Yes, my reading comprehension is the suck.

Ah. So I should cancel the bag of stagnant urine I sent to your house? Or should I send it elsewhere, like to a neighbor who's music is too loud?
