power issues

okay so first this morning with my car being un-alignable as the tech guy would say and now i have power issues.

heres the deal. i went out to a parking lot to have a little fun. well the fun diddnt last all that long because i want to see how the suspension felt on som turns and i wanted to do a few little burn outs (ive never done one before). well i went to do a burn out (hold the revs to 4500 dump the clutch gun the gas) i dont know if im doing it wron or what couldnt do it for the life of me so i decided to do some figure 8's and some donuts. well same thing happed couldnt get any good ones in for the life of me. the reason i could get them done was because i would start to get going around pretty good and everything and then my power would be limited. limited you ask, yes the revs just drop to 2000-2500. if i start to do a donut it cool then the power dies and so does my fun then it just climbs back up the rpm ladder then falls off. the car runs and drives fine on the street and freeway (i dont know the exact speed since my speedo dont work but to 6k each gear before i shift and then to 5700 in 5th). what the crap is going on? any insight would be very helpful to me.
