just the bolts? or you mean the holes in the head i would assume. damn, how'd you strip all of em?

either have to get a new head or tap bigger holes i guess.

i had ONE stripped hole and i used a ziptie

actually you need a tap a die is for recutting a bolt a tap is for rethreading a hole also be sure to use a lubricant like PB or WD40 to help with the cutting

You could also use a helicoil but that may be overkill for valvecover bolts

heh, i was gonna say that

anyway, you wont be able to use the same size hole, well, because you cant use what isnt there, know what i mean?

you are going to need to make a bigger hole and you will need to get bigger bolts for it as well

you can get the same bolt thread pattern at AUTOZONE and get nut that fits that.. thats what i did on two of the bolt that cuz i stripped the thread design on the head and the valve cover... works fine for me.. but then again its only 2 not like yours (all the bolts/threads patterns onthe head)?

Or you can use the same stock bolt if you use a helicoil. Pretty sure your drill the hole a little larger and then you thread in a insert that has your stock thread size in it. I would'nt use a zip tie or a nut and bolt, seems kinda half-ass to me. To each his own I guess.

he would need to take it to a machine shop to have them run a helicoil in there. you need a steady drill press and know how far down to drill and then retap that hole, etc... that = money ...and im guessing that he wants to go the cheaper route...

anyway, you can just step it up a size and you should be fine. it will probably be a lot of hard work though... i dont know if you ever used a tap and die set before, but its not as fun as it looks
