ok i just picked up a 120k 96 ka24de. from what the seller told me she was aok when it was in the car, and was removed for sr swap, i took the valve cover off and oil pan off for replacing gaskets, and i will tell u this she is very very clean, espeacially under the valve cover. on my last ka the oil was like burned to the head and look nasty this one is clean looks like new. so my question is what shall i use to keep her this way, what oil do u guys recomend, synthetic, reg., name brand, and wieght? thanx hopefully i will be installin fri so wish me luck

10w30 synthetic. either mobil one, royal purple, redline, or amsoil! im running the mobil 1 10w30, nice stuff.

no but wasting money on synthetic on a stock KA is ridiculous. castrol gtx 10w 30

and yea, a gallon of it is only $7.89.

nah peanut oil is better. but really though you shouldnt get synthetic for stock ka's unless theyre built or turboed, its a waste of money. just get the usual and keep it maintained.

Just change your oil/filter frequently.. that's prob more important than what oil you use.
