Need help with S15 front end install

Alright I have a 95 240 which I recently wrecked. I've decided to do the S15 front end. I ordered S15 fenders, hood, bumper, and headlights along with a new 95 front bumper retainer from nissan. What have I left out? Am I using the wrong retainer? The retainer seems too short for the bumper. Also what hood latch is everyone using? Mine seems to sit too high. If everyone uses the stock S14 latch what modifications do you have to do for everything to fit? Thanks everyone.

ya, u dont need the 95 retainer. if you need a rad support, make sure you get the s15 version. and you ordered metal s15 fenders??? ....should ordered MASA or Inner Circle....use your stock hood latch.....i dunno about it being to high though. i didnt have any problems like that.

i don't know if this helps alot, but by saying bumper retainer i think you mean the metal bar, or traditional bumper behinda the front end or bumper cover. If this is the case and you plan on goin turbo or SR then take it back, because it will need to be removed to add FMIC anyway. Dunno if this helps at all... but i thought i'd share it.

Good luck mang.

I do know that s14.5 is alot easier than s13.5 because you don't need as many parts, aka radiator support, head light support.

its not bad, u can make you some custom mounts rather than get a new radiator support

the conversion is a breeze if u get the right parts

just what i was thinking. If there were ever some produced i would prob get them though.

Also you dont need the s15 radiator support on s13- or s14.

S14.5 Conversion

When I did my conversion, I used the SWATT fenders from Wholesale Hyperperformance. They were junk as well. And they were advertised as the best/closest OEM fit, bla, bla, bla. Significant amount of work had to go into shaping the fenders to fit, especially at the roof pillar. Also, the cut in fender lines (to match the door lines) were so far off, I filled them out. I do not know if you can get any fiberglass fenders that won't need a lot of work to fit.

I used a Bomex Bumper and the fit and quality of it is excellent. I used a Vertex rear bumper which was also excellent and Bomex side skirts which were of excellent quality also.

The S14 radiator core support can be used, but the holes where the headlights go must be cut out and enlarged for the lights to fit properly.

The bumper brace has to go, and if you use a FMIC, the bumper as well. It is a good idea to weld in strong piping to replace the bumper, as even a small hit to the front-end will destroy most of your handiwork (don't ask me how I know).

You will have to wire up the lights, as the S15 OEM plugs do not work on the S14.

Also, the plastic inner fender wells will not fit like they used to and customization will be required here as well.

Good luck.

masa fenders and inner circle fenders both have great fitment. pay more now, rather than more later down the road.

I'm looking into the S14 to S15 conversion. Will the OEM S15 parts fit on the S14? Mainly the hood, fenders, bumper and lights...

Thanks.

It's not a question of whether it is possible...I was looking for info on whether the OEM S15 parts...specifically the lights, fenders, hood and bumper will will bolt directly on to the S14. The reason I ask is that I have seen aftermarket ones also and I didn't know if these are made because the OEM ones do not fit...

I can get all the parts imported directly, I just didn't want to have them shipped in to find out they don't fit. The main reason is...this is actually my little brothers car and he just imported an SR20 and he wanted to do the S15 conversion. I want to get these parts for him, but I don't want to ask him because I want it to be a surprise for his birthday. I don't know too much about Silvias...

Thanks.

headlights yes,
bumper yes
hood yes
fenders no

basically you can use your stock headlight supports on the s14 to bolt on the s15 headlights because the s14 headlight support is pratically identical to the s15 one. Hood will bolt on as well the bumper. Your going aftermarket on your fenders . Many choices but not many good ones.
