Low Speed Vibration

I have a 97 240 with 70,000k and I am getting a vibration while coasting at around 35-45mph and then it goes away. I am thinking it is the drive shaft but it is a $500 part so could I get some help?

Vib

That is the first thing I did with a rotation and it didn't change anything so I am sure it is drive line.

does your steering wheel shake? if so then its balance... if your car shakes, then its driveline... get under your car and check for any cracked joints on the driveshaft...

35-45mph shake probably wouldn't be unbalanced wheels. You will feel that at 60-75mph. Steering wheel shakes, front wheels unbalanced. If you feel it in your seat at that speed then it is the rear wheels. Check the bearing for the driveshaft. You should feel it when you're taking off in first gear as well, and shifting from first to second. If you think that it is your driveshaft.
Damn our car issues
