Exclamation sr won't idle!!! help

ok so i have searched and can't really find anything quite like my problem.

here's my problem, i can start it up and it will jump up to about 2k - 2.5k for about 2 secs and then fall rapidly and die. i can keep it running if i consistently press on and off the gas as long as i keep it over 2.5k, if it goes under it begins to miss and stall, sometimes it will die and other times if i keep on and off the gas i can bring it back up.... it is very smooth above 2500, anyting below most of the time is extremely rough....my ECU is giving me code 55(no malfunction) my first assumption was the MAF or timing

if its the timing how do i check it with coilpacks(i am new to coilpacks)

my setup:
S13 Redtop
Blitz FMIC
S-AFC II
Tomei Fuel Pump
Koyo Radiator
HKS SSQV recirc'd
Greddy Profec B spec II
3.25 inch turbo back

if more info is needed just say so...

now i have a #63 ECU and Mike22bSTi had some problems because of his ECU...aside from this if anyone has any ideas please help....

Did you check the Idle air control and see if you have any riped hoses

also what about your o2 Sensor and your maf have you check it also

run the car and pull out the spark splugs.

start with that first.

as far as i can tell there are no vac leaks, i will check over the lines one more time to be sure...

checking timing??? do i need to put the ecu into diag. mode or anything like that...the gun that i have just has a conductive pick-up, do i just put that on the signal wire from the coilpack????

iac- where exactly is that located so i can make sure i am checking the right thing .....

thanks for your help racer98 and silverbullet

I am having the same issue with my swap, the car doesnt want to start, and sometimes it will catch and then revs up and i try and keep it up but it just stalls. I am new to coil packs and so i am not sure how to set the timing, i do see the nocthes on the pulley but not sure which notche is top dead center??
Also when i remove my spark plugs they are wet from fuel??? I am not sure what that means, but i have also been trying to start it for the past hour playing with the CAS.

anyone would have any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

You mean check the TPS voltage and that? or the plug, cause the tps is connected.
Does anyone know what the exact voltage is suposed to for the TPS when closed and fully opened?

usually intake piping and electronics are the first thing to check- using propane to check for leaks is real easy way to find out quickly.

Look on the side of the ECU there should be an adjustable dial that controls the vehicle idle speed...it's possible that this is just turned out of wack from the conversion--it's easy to bump & easier to forget.

Let me know if this helps

i dont recall red top ecu's having a dial...

first id bypass ur safc, which is about 3 sedconds of work, if i remember corectly its HW6, 1 in 1out (of course). secondly dont laugh, do u have an air filter on? the stock maf is very finicky, u need an air filter or some type of cloth at the very least on the end of the intake.

this actually sounds like a miss calibrated safc. are u using the dec. air flow function? first set it to *** which is off. try the car, if it is fixed, u either have a bad setting for dec air, or for tp rising of falling(i forget which)
