Crankshaft Position Sensor on s13 tranny (obd2 s14)
I need a legit inspeciton after my mishap with the law.
I had done an auto to manual and the codes that came up on the diagnos were Intake Temperature Sensor. I have an 97 and the injen intake was designed for 95-96 IAT sensors so it fell off while driving. I think picking up that part will solve that problem. Other codes were for a/t connecting lines and inhibitor switch which should be solved when a 5 speed obd2 ECU is dropped in. Another code is for the Crankshaft positioning sensor. My car has an s13 tranny so I would have to custom fit mine to work. Has anybody ever done this before? Also will the auto crankshaft position sensor work? Any help is appreciated. I already know it doesn't do anything for the car but I need it for inspection. |

You'll need to drill the hole in the top of the bellhousing...see if you can get your hands on a S14 trans to measure where to drill.
Easy stuff...but you'll need to pull the trans to do it. And IIRC, the sensors are the same, for 5-speed and auto. Good luck with it. - Brian
