95 to 96 fuel tank swap questions
First off, I tried searching for an hour, ...no luck. Ive found when swapping tanks from a 96 into a 95 car (because someone drilled a hole in the 95 tank), there is a wiring issue. on a 95, the 2 electrical connectors at the top of the tank are 2 wire and a 3 wire going into the tank . On a 96, one of the connectors doesnt fit because it's a 4 wire. So Ive decided to use my old pump and use the 96 sending unit, but first off, I cant get it out of the tank. Secondly, with the differences with wiring, will the float from the 96 work, and how do I wire it into the 95 system?

96-98 has an intank fuel temperature sensor, part of the EVAP system. You don't need it. Use your 95 stuff, or just cut and rewire the plugs.
The sending unit is a pain to get out, just keep pulling on it. Enough force will pop it loose.

OK, thank you very much. Another dumb question, which way do I pull on the sending unit? I know its a dumb question, but I cant for the life of me get the damn thing out. So from the back seat looking back, with your hand in the tank, pull up or to the right, ...?????
