Power steering Rack

Anyone out there replaced theirs them selves? If so, did you have any major issues? OR any tips? IT doesnt seem too hard, just thought I'd ask before i just dove into it. THanks in advance!!!

not that i recall, pretty straight forward, some bolts maybe tougher than others to get to... but i didn't have to buy any special tools...

Did you have to loosen or drop the crossmember to remove the rack?

Not required. Pull the four bolts that secure it to the crossmember, pull the column linkage, and drop it. Very, very easy.

Ah, ok.. someone I read on FA had to drop the crossmember down since he was having some trouble removing it. I guess the people on this board are more technically inclined. haha.

Depends on the person, but I'd strongly argue people here are any more intelligent than on FA.

Is it any harder if you want to swap in the HICA rack? I've been wanting to do that for a while.

i changed the rack bushings in like 20 minutes. a few more things to remove it seems but should be pretty straight forward and don't think you need to remove the cross member
