SR20DET vacuum hose routing
My friend recently brought home a car with a redtop S13 SR20DET swap already mostly complete. However, there's nothing connected to the three vacuum ports on the intake pipe after the MAF. There's also nothing on the PCV intake port on the valve cover.
I know one of these ports is for the BOV, and the car has an HKS BOV, so it's fine to plug it. This is the top-most port, correct? The car actually runs as-is. Here are pictures of the open holes. In the last picture the hole is covered by a piece of tape... Thanks! |

hey on my setup i have an hks bov, so i closed off both of the big ports on the intake tube, one of which went down to the stock bov setup which i welded shut, and the other is one that runs to that open one on the valve cover, i just closed it off and put a breather filter on the port on the valve cover, as of the small port on the intake tube i have that the same way you do and havent had a problem as of yet. goood luck

Sweet! Thanks. I think we'll hook up that PCV line and see what happens.
So what's the middle one for? Or is that even a port? It looks like it might just be a spot for something to screw in, like a clip to hold some wiring or something. |

pic 1 - just screw in a bolt or something to cap it off. isnt needed for anything
pic 2 - that usually is routed down to the intake tube, or catch can pic 3 - that opening is for when you run a recirculated BOV and you use that tube to recirc. the air from the bov |
