s13 Placement for Greddy oil cooler kit??

Not sure where the actual unit is suppose to go, the instructions dont have very good pictures of where the unit needs to be installed. THe best I can gather is near the right front tire, i cant read japanese so reading the instructions is pointless, anyone ever installed one? Help and thanks!

to quote my wife "those letters are smaller than ant bodies" she cant read that shit...but not needed anyway..you can mount it where you want..closer to the frotn the better...need to see a pic of the front of your ride..I would say right behind the grill is best, if you dont have a FMIC then put it down there..

well your motor is diff than mine...the 180SX 95-98 Black top has on the crankcase breather tube a T section intead of one hole..I ran one side of the T section back down to the motor where it eventually got to after the stock catch can and IAV system which I took both out (like an EGR) then the other side of the T I ran to the Catch can...Just mount the oil cooler outside the engine bay where it can get air...behind the grill will be cool...

Hmm, on my red top I ran it from the crank case to the T on the valve cover then to the catch, then from the catch can to the intake pipe on the turbo.

Fuck that, I took all of that stuff out..all of that intake stuff is a bad idea..bypas that shit...See in stock form thereis an IAV it is like an EGR, there is a tube that comes up from your J-Pipe then routes to the IAV it is a solenoid/cylinder looking device attached to your crankcase right above the stock turbo manifold (no pic now) Then that routes some of the EXH back to your intake..The crankcase breather also runs back to your intake via the stock catch can..what you end up with is

From the IAV some EXH going back into your intake, Compressor, I/C, turbo, plenum and motor..fuck that...I cut the whole IAV/EGR out..no need for that shit

Now for the Catch can, by routing your catch can back to the intake..you are now letting all of those oily gases back into you Compressor, I/C, turbo, plenum and motor...pop yourcompressor inlet and feel all that pil and gunk in there, same goes for your I/C..The puprose of having a Catch can is to keep that stuff out of your Compressor, I/C, turbo, plenum and motor...no one better say oh you need the oil for any reason its bullshit...my set up has been double checked by the shop that sold me the FMIC and they build 1000hp beasts...

So your saying all i really need is from the block to the valve to the catch can, and out the other side of the catch can just leave it open? Then I would need to cap off the intake?

exactly...if you want i can go take a few pics of my set up...
T section - 1 side goes down to the hole on the passenger side..wait your in the states...if you facing the car on the right side of the motor, side with the Trubo Manifol there is a tube near the back half way down or so...run one tube there, make sure you use high temp wrap for that tube it gets hot...then cap off your intake, run the other side of the T section to the catch can, then leave one side of the catch can open for breathing, then your good..
wait here i an older pic prior to my FMIC..see how I ran the tubes, one back in the block, one around the front to the can

heres another view you can see that a capped the intake tube

This is how it is routed now, so I will cap off where the little yellow arrow is and leave the catch can open on one end.
