Hey.  Dumb question.

Someone told me that its not good to cross wires when attaching your spark plug wires.  Meaning... overlaying them perpendicular, instead of parallel to one another.  Because, it can cause a magnetic field.

I dunno if anyone know what I am saying... but if you do.

Your info would be really appreciated.

Spark plug wires are shielded.  That doesn't matter at all.

Even though they're shielded, they will still cause a magnetic field. That shielding is primarily for protecting the guts, so you don't ground it. However, the magnetic field doesn't effect the power enough to matter, so don't stress it. Technically speaking, twisting the wires together is the best thing to eliminate electromagnetic fields and crosstalk (hence why if you strip some cat5 data cable, it's twisted pairs). But, uh, it doesn't really matter for your plugs, won't effect much.
