s14 300ZX Rear Brake Upgrade/Sorta.

One of the local guys did this.
He already did his fronts so he just went ahead and put his back on where his stock caliper location was with Z32 rotors of course.
No need for all the extra subframe Z32 hardware but obviously now he doesnt have an ebrake.

Im just wondering if anyone else here has done this and if its pretty much straightforward like the front brake swap.

You're not being very clear.
Are you saying he installed rear Z32 calipers and rotors without installing the emergency brake hardware?

Yes,
He installed the rear brakes like you do the front.
Just take off the old caliper and old rotor, put the new Z32 rotor and caliper on, bolt on, bleed and your done.

No emergency break setup.

I wanted to know if this is ok and if anyone else has done this.

I just did it on my S13 this week and it works...
I have the ebrake too, just the cables aren't hooked up yet. But after i come back from my long-weekend, they will be.
I also did the 5lug swap at the same time.

Yea, hopefully my rear z32 swap will be done in a couple months. I am going to use the z32 rear upright though, so I'll need coils at the same time. Hhehehehee. I can't wait.
