17 up front 18 in back

the jspec yellow s14 has 17's up front and 18's in back fno1rc's. i was thinkin of doing the same since i really wanted 18's in fn01rc but they require a spacer for the front. what are the pro's and con's of having a setup like this? still debating to do that or not.

Pros = looks great, 18s fill up rear fenders nicely. 18s usually come in nice wide wheels. You can say you rock 18s. 17s up front are easier to clear.

Cons = tires are expensive, can't rotate tires, 18s cost more.

I will have a 17/18 setup soon.

cool, thanks. how does this affect handling? oversteer/understeer? trying to keep neutral. i have whiteline front and rear sway bars and MR coilovers. is there any adjustments needed?

pros- front of car can go lower than with 18s
cons- can't rotate, not all wheels are available in 17s and 18s

never driven a s13 or s14 with 17/18 but i doubt it affects handling if properly setup

18s all around are the shit btw

it's the best setup IMO.

Like people said, you can still slam the front ridiculously low, and the 18's fill up the rears great. And staggered looks really mean.

example:

not when u have a KA scooter hahaha
its a ok setup
takes some more work, definately can feel the extra weight from rear wheels when accellerating compared w/ a 17"
only 18 i'd go w/ is a forged wheel. compensates a bit.
i dont like 18 up front.

front low looks dope but my only problem is my intercooler sits too low. thats why id rather go with 18's all around. but can't. looks like i just might have to do 17 up fron and 18 in the back fn01rc. oh well. i really wasn't goin for the 17x10 in the rear. kinda looked too far off from the front wheels. but don't get me wrong, it still looks dope though. thanks for all your help guys, i appreciate it a grip.

RBS14 those front wheels look dope bro.

what specs would you recommend if your only choice of wheels were the fn01rc's on an s14?
i was figuring" front 17x9 +15 w/ 225/45/17
rear 17x10 +12 w/ 235/45/17
or
front 17x9 +15 w 225/45/17
rear 18x9.5 (i think it was +22 not sure) don't know what size tire to go with. still trying to research.

rear i have 17x10 +20 and i think it sperfect. i have too much camber but when i pull the camber out should be a-ok
i dont believe in CRAZY wheels
need wheels that FIT the car. size and offset
so im sticking w/ about -1.5 camber and 17x10 +20 w/ a slight pull on the fenders
go w/ the +22 10" fns

17x9 +15 is perfect on fronts

9.5 +22 is good for rear, wont fit fronts

im selling my CR KAIs for some TE37s buddy. baby is going to buy them if not him, mike from GW.
haha...i hate them!!! regret that purchase.
after having the Regamasters i dont want any more cast wheels, i might be getting some Grenades cuz they are cheap and logan is the man.

CR is just for street, not for track, i hate thos ewheels
regamasters i can lift w/ no effort from ground up to car (if car on life)
CR KAI is heavy as hell. i dont use them for track just to drive around town and come back from track.

yeah the fastback is/was (crashed it) mine of those 2 cars.
