Sparco Sprint Details

Hello, all, I did a search on installing sparco sprints in my S13 and I got many diff answers. Here are the answers i read:

-Sell them, they sit too high
-They sit too high with OEM brackets
-Sparco brackets are too high
-Wedge engineering are too high

Is this true for the bottome mount sparco seats? The sprints are thinner than the stock seats (looks like). I already have the sparco slider.. How can I make this work w.o banging my head on the ceiling (I'm 5'11..any way to fit with a helmet?)? Heard something bout bride rails being low ehough?

If I deciede to sell the seat, what seat should I get that will sit low enough? (less than $300 plz)

EDIT: OK a little more searching and the sprints will NOT fit on any bride rails :[ that takes that idea out. So all I have is trying to get some rails custom fabbed? The dimensions for the sprint and type MO bride rail match.. But somebody said they don't work for some reason..

I have speeds, i think there similar. Anyway, i just use a sparco bottom mount base, without the sliders. Sits lower than stock and has a nice centered position. But, since you cant move them once there in there.

sprint sucks
the support is sub-par
i used to ave it
cant even come close tosparco rev or corsa and such
sprint is low end pos seat of poor quality, imo

dont buy it.

never tried speed but get a side mount bucket. they are better usully. and greatly decreases the chance you will sit high

i liked the speed/sprint seats, the rest of my s13 friends use sprints/speeds, im just a little too big for them so i sold my speed to my buddy and moved up to a pro2000. You might sit too high, i never had a problem with it, the other guys havent complained about not having room really, we have all done track days and they clear with their helmets, try it out before you sell it, im about 5'11" also. Some of the guys don't run sliders though so maybe that will make a difference, just use the bracket and hope it's comfy for you. FYI the sprint is wider than the speed.

It is true that the sprint/speed is a entry level seat and doesnt hold a candle to the higher end seat though, im sooooo happy i moved up, but it will do the job way better than your stock seat.

So I will sit AT stock with the slider?

Which brackets are they using? How tall are the ones that fit using sliders?

Well... I already bought it... it gives a hell of alot better support than my stock seats.. I fly around allover the place with those.

-Would having no moonroof allow me better clearance? I'm assuming so, correct? Also, will the sparco slider bolt onto the OEM mounts?

Well since everyone is saying that fitment is crap, I'm going to sell the seat and buy a different one. Any suggestions for a seat that will clear somebody that's 5'11 with a helmet on? I'm thinking the Vios-III.. but ouch.. $720 is a pain in the wallet.

I have the sprint in my civic and it doesn't have enough bottom support. It would be good with side mount brackets in my s13.
