Sorry if this is a stupid question, but my AM/FM/CD player quit working on my 95 240sx, so I pulled the deck out to take a look at the back. I thought I might be able to connect my discman directly to some RCAs leading to the amps (hah). Anyway, this is what it looked like (pardon my "artistry"):

What are all the non-connected sockets for? Can I hook up any audio inputs to any of them? What kind of adapters will I need (to go from RCA to 9pin, or whatever) and where can I find them?

It looks like this unit is a Matsushita MN#RM-V15PAI, if that matters.

Thanks for your help.

am/fm/cd player? you can't do it so please do not try it. You can only connect a discman directly to a cassette player. to do this, plug one of those discman cassettes into your discman and then slide the cassette into the cassette player. here is the crucial step- squirt a couple tubes of J.B Weld or Krazy glue (OR BOTH&#33 into where you inserted the cassette.

p.s. i am just ripping on you and making you look like a jack-ass because i was a jack-ass once, i had that same jack-ass thought in my head. And guess what, some jack-ass ruined his perfectly good radio. please don't do it, the world doesn't need anymore jack-asses.

p.p.s. also, try to watch your language...

technochronic, that was one of the most worthless posts I've seen in a while

Sorry Gizzard, I have no clue what you can or cannot do to fix that or what those other connectors are for.

Let mods decide what's acceptable and not acceptable on the board. And anyway, i didn't see one bit of foul language in his post. Yours on the other hand...

Those connectors are for the additional (optional) 3 disc cd changer, and no there isn't a conversion available from any of those to RCA's...

DSC--first off, the post was meant to be humorous. i guess a sense of humor is scarce around these parts. Secondly, i was trying to tell this guy not to waste his time. i have tried the exact same thing so i know for a fact that it won't work. as far as the connections go, "A" is an input for a cd changer. "B" is most likely for an equalizer. i didn't mean to piss you guys and girls off. i was trying to answer his question and put a smile on his face. i explained that the post was a joke. I also answered his question. doesn't seem so worthless to me. i guess i'll just start using your methods and posting just to let them know that i can't answer their questions. That seems like a better idea. thank you for clearing that up for me.

transient- that was one of the jokes. from now on-i'll start explaining them for all y'all kids. sorry for the confusion.
