hey guys,

im just going through my parts list for my 5 speed swap and i think i have everything under control.  Im almost have all the parts i need.  one part im not to sure about is the tranny harness.  do i need to get one for the manual tranny or can i wire the sensors into thew auto tranny?  its all for my 97 s14.

hey let me know how the swap goes i want to do the same thing.I also habve a 97 240/s14.how much did all the parts cost ya and are you doin this by yourself or haveing a shop do it.

you modify the auto tranny harness to hook up to the 5 speed the main things that need to be hooked up are speed sensor . that one is simple just plug it in. The ones you need to locate and wire using your auto tranny harness are the backup lights and the nuetral safety switch wire to the clutch lockout sensor and the 4th/5th gear sensor (this does not need to be hooked up)
. I do not remember the link but there is a site on the web where a guy explains the exact wiring mods you need . oh yeah its not at 240sx.org hehehe
