I'm sure many of you who are interested in fighting games have already seen this....

Just wanted to get it out there because I think it's pretty good. I've played very little SF3, but I know how crazy of a comeback this was.

Thats Daigo (Ken) versus Justin Wong (chun li). Its a yearly tournament called EVO where the worlds best fighting game players get together and play. Usually you'll have a bunch of japanese dudes clean house, but that isn't always the case. I was actually at this particular tourney, it took place at Cal Poly Pamona in 2003 I believe. Check the SRK forums, they put it all together.

Whats the point when every home console can rival if not top an arcade in graphics........ ahh thats the key word. Most game geeks are only into that nowadays. People could give 2 shits about playability. I almost smacked someone when they refused to play Blitz because "the graphics sucked"

nothing beats the feel of an arcade cabinet.....especially games like MvC.

He basically tech-hit the entire combo. A tech hit was a block that could be turned into a quick counter attack. When you used the tech, you didnt lose a small piece of power *like you would during a normal block* What makes this video amazing is that he knew exactly when to tech during this huge combo. He counters in the end with a combo of his own and wins the match. He had almost no life left

Dang, seriously, i love playing MvC2.

I hated those routine jugglers, it took the entire REASON to play the game away. It becomes "i can hit these buttons in a correct line, can you?"

I like to mix it up with Guile, Zangief, and anyone else. I may have sucked, but when you have 2 of your best guys get pwned by Zangief, you kinda feel bad. It sucks to have Russian nads in your face, doesn't it? I love a good grapple.

I used to friggin regulate with Spiral..

I remember when my local game spot got rid of that game... Sad day indeed... After that day I couldn't find that game anywhere.

, and Black heart

(IIRC)... I haven't played a fighting game in a long time so I could just be babling about the wrong game..

I use to be really good at mvc1. I actually entered a tournie and placed like 12 out of 70. This tournie took place off of colima east of in n out (the one by speedzone) like 1.5 miles. I give directions cuz i forgot the name of the place haha this makes me wanna game with all of u and OWN u guys

wat he did was actually a parry. parrying in street fighter 3 is done by pressing forward at the EXACT time that the hit makes contact, nullifying it. in sf3 u can parry ANYTHING except special throws (normal throws can be cancelled). sf3 to me is one of the most technically perfect fighting games ever made. just wish they had used more of the old school characters.
