too flush? is there such thing? this probably is...

******Flame suit on****

Alrighty, so these are my work in progress pics... I just wanted to know what the other flushness nazi's (me being one of them...) thought about my new setup. its still work in progress so basically, I am figuring out a plan that I will soon be executing.

****right now the bumpers are at the shop being prepped and painted so when the are finished we will finish the rest of the car's bodywork.

I am thinking about adding some material to the rear, mabe 10mm of metal to extend the flare and be nice and flush.. becuase as it sits it is just a hair over the top for me.

keep in mind I AM adding a 15mm spacer to the front wheel*******
because right now it looks like butt.

did I mention I am adding a 15mm spacer to teh front?

ok next pic... the ass shot

pretty damn flush if you ask me, but my question is, is it too much? or is it just right...

another...

one more... dont worry I am working the metalright now and before the end of the day it will be nice and smoothe.

mmmmm sex.

questions comments anything? post it up.

Thats pretty damn good.

A little overboard but it looks like you're gonna make it work...

My fronts stick out like 5mm more then i'd like..

Running a 17x9 + 15 with a S14 LCA = 17x9 +5...

There is such a thing as too flush. It's when you cant tell where the fender ends and wheel begins.

i think you're confused.

flush- adv.
So as to be even, in one plane, or aligned with a margin.

mexican flush- adv.
So as to stick out like balls, like crap, or aligned with suckage.

at least you're tryin.

is there such thing as too flush?

easy answer
NO.

that's like Extra Medium. Aka, a dumb ass statement to make. What you have is the opposite of flush, it sticks out alot. Get over fenders or flare the fenders ALOT, because that shit is not working.

the only way you could save it is to lower it so far that you can't see the tire anymore and the lip of the rim is 1mm away from the..err.. from that thing. used to be a fender.

It looks good, if you get the body work straight it'll be fine. Just make sure everything sits clean, and from the looks of it, you don't wanna run flares, just pull it a lil more, and smooth it out, other than that, it looks dope.

You guys have some serious issues. The car WILL look great when it's finished.

Just because you guys have never seen a fender modified like he is doing it doesn't mean it won't look nice when finished.

The way he modded his fender will give the apperance of the car being lower, and wider since there is more surface to flare.

OMG! He didn't throw a fender roller on it and do the same thing everone else has done before.. it looks so stupid! Ignorant ass people.

I love the mutilated rear fenders. Its always worth it to kick the shit out of the sheet metal of your car for some wheels and a trend.
sorry being way too negative...

I think it looks good, it'll look even better once the car is finished. right now it looks like its waged war on a small country but after maybe some fender flares? you'll be alright.

You're ignorant for thinking anyone's ignorant for thinking he's ignorant, while he asked what people thought of his work.

it's not flush (it's past the flush point) but it looks cool, doesn't stick out too much i don't think, especially when you clean it up.

the specs of the wheels isn't the problem i don't think...it's the body work that was done. that doesn't look like very much of a pull, and it looks like shit. i know you said you're working the metal still, but IMO it is not pulled nearly enough. i don't even know how you managed to make it look like that, when mine were done, they never lost their smoothness...

without over fenders it wont come close

now it just looks like youre trying to win the "i have the biggest wheels lowest offset on an s14/tiny dick syndrome" contest

That's cuz he didn't just put a fender roller to the fender. He "unpeeled" the fender out from where it is folded into the wheel wheel. Then, with the extra material to work with, it looks like he's flaring it out further.

He's bangin it out old school style with a hammer/dolly from the looks of it. Hard to tell from pics, but is 10mm enough? Looks like a 15-20mm flare would be more like it.

actually now that I look at the first picture... with the front wide fender and the sideskirts the rear quarter panel does look goofy, over fender would make it super duper
