MR Coilovers Won't Go Down!!!

I tried to get the fronts to go down the using the same method as I did the back (took the spanner wrench on the top nut where the spring sits on to get the thread to move down) but the thread didn't want to move down and it was way to hard to get it moving. I don't want to preload the spring and lower it that way so am I going to have to take the macphearson braket off and turn that? I wanted to get rid of the rest of the fender gap before I take it to alignment. Should I just take off the bracket (ugh) or turn it using all my strength (thus denting my adjusting nut)? Heres a pic cause I know this thread is a hard read due to the time of it being posted:

The one on the very bottom one (on the macpherson mount) or the doubled up one? I think theres some junk in the threads but not sure. I sprayed some solvent in there to try to lube up the threads. The rears go down but the fronts are hard to get down.

It is CLOCKWISE. Wording is wrong on my part. But yeah, it doesn't want to turn clockwise after a certain point, only counter-clockwise. Thats why I think there is something in the threads but wasn't sure.

Yeah, I'm gonna take off the mounting point and lower the front that way, but not after I clean the threads.

Might be a stupid question, but you are jacking the car up first aren't you? You can't adjust the coilovers if the car is on the ground.

HAHA! How do you think that I got to them in the first place? lol. Yeah, both front tires were off the ground and tires off. I was replacing the tie-rod ends and decided I wanted to get rid of the rest of the fender-gap. Thurs.-Fri. I'm gonna retry and if it doesn't work, then I'll remove the fronts, clean them, and get them lower that way.
