want to make some $$$$$

Ill try and describe my problem as best and as detailed as posible. If youre interested in making some extra cash by fixing my car im willing to pay if its not a ridiculous amount. Keep in mind, the reason that im posting on here is because i cant afford to take my car to a shop because of their prices. If you question your skills when it comes to car mechanics, please im trying to get my car running as soon as posible. I dont want my car to be sitting for acouple of weeks. With that out of the way...

i bought a 1990 fastback 103k miles off of the original owner which was an old man that couldnt fit in the car anymore. It is auto (gay) but i bought it just for transportation purposes only. Ok in order for it to switch gears you have to redline it than it'll switch from 1-2-3 and so on. As soon as you drive the car for awhile (freeway) it shifts fine. I replaced the transmission because i thought the tranny was bad but its doing the same thing with the new tranny that was just put in. At this point i cant afford to fail at diagnosing the problem and being wrong again.

If youre interested, and live in the Los Angeles area or near PM me and we'll go from there. Any positive input or help would be great, thanks.

when you say new trans. do you mean another used trans. that just happens to be new to you? if so then you probably just bought another junk trans.

I sincerely hope that you either A) flushed the radiator lower cooler, or B) installed an external cooler.

Otherwise your new transmission just got filled full of debris from the OE cooler. You might also make sure the dropping resistor is plugged in.

Correct, another used tranny. When ever the old tranny switched gears you could feel and hear a huge clunking noise. With the tranny that i replaced it with its smooth.
