I want to delete my airbag from the steering wheel but I can't justify spending 300+ on some phony italian steering wheel. I know the steering column is the same for the S13 and S14 (the cog on the end of the column connects with both model steering wheels) but I'm not sure what else besides the actual wheel I need to get.

Do I need to use the control sticks (wipers, blinkers, lights, etc) from the S13 as well. Also I'd like to retain cruise control but I'm not sure if the wiring will work with the S13 wheel with the cruise built into the horn cover.

Anyone ever do this before?

When I installed my phoney Italian wheel, I had to use an S13 hub on an S14, since they didn't make an S14 hub. I had to modify the hub to make the turn signal cancel work, and cut off some tabs. This leads me to believe that the S13 wheel will fit, but turn signal cancel won't work W/O some more of the S13 parts. Read about the steering wheel install in the Installs section for good details.

Cruise and horn will no longer fuction as they're part of the spiral cable circuit. Otherwise it's a direct replacement.
