I usually use an impact, but i forgot mine at work.

14mm, but depending on brand they change length. That is some cheap ass benchtop brand wrench, no way am I abusing my snap-on's like that, even if they have a warantee.

Another dude can also just hold the crank still from the pulley with a wrench also. Just borrow a friend for a sec. No need to get fancy shmancy.

I've done a diff by myself. It wasn't that awful hard...

Whats the difficulty in that? The only hard part would be having a decent jack to support the damn thing so it doesnt fall on your head, otherwise: easy. I did it on my bros M roadster, with a shitty made in china jack which is the only reason I needed help. hahaha. Also, its good for someone to be their to pull the e brake up and down so you can tighten the driveshaft and axle bolts faster. Just a matter of convenience.

once I absolutely couldnt do something without the help of a friend... that job waited 2 weeks while I waited for this guy to stop being a flake, fancy shmancy I can rely on. if you're 21 and can supply beer, then you can probably rely on people to help.

I had to change my diff 3 times by myself

But it might've been harder for your since you have a s15 hlsd..

yes I have, twice. Now, have you ever done a 93 thunderbird heater core by your self? Thats hard.

im sure its a helpful hint, i was just rubbing in the fact that i DO have brand new air tools that really help with these things. i just use air tools when pulling stuff apart and putting stuff on that's not so precise (rims, body panels... etc etc).

compressors arent that expensive, if you have a garage its one tool you should really invest in.
