Intercooler pipe survey

I'm in the middle of intalling my IAP turbo kit and of course running into problems. I want to ask you fellow KA-Ter's how you ran your cold side (would be even better if you did it with the IAP kit). I'm installing my piping on my '92 S13. What route did you guys take for your cold side? It seems that there isn't enough room for my pipe to go all the way through and over enough to fit nicely. I could probably squeeze everything together but probably wouldn't have the best seals. If some of the frame and suspension member wasn't there...then it would fit perfectly...lol. Did any of you have to do any special fab to get a snug fit? Thanks for any comments.

Did your kit come with instructions? Are you sure you have the intercooler mounted corectly? I don't know anything about the IAP kit in particular but a few people on www.ka-t.org would.

What do you mean "all the way through and over" ? Most people go through the battery tray and over to the throttle body if that is what you mean. Are you sure you have the right pipes? Cold/hot side not mixed up?

Yes there are instructions and that is what told me what pipes are for the cold side. The pipes look like they should fit. I have posted the same thing on Ka-t.org and so far 9 people have viewed it yet no replies.

There is one pipe that is "S" shaped and needs to go from the intake mani down through the engine bay out through one of the suspension members. At the bottom of the pipe it makes a 45 degree bend outwards. Well the problem is the pipe is too high so all it does is kick into the frame. It needs to be a little lower...and it just seem like its making the wrong bend. I might have to get a new pipe made or do some fab. Thanks for your reply. I can maybe get pics tomorrow.
