Bridgestone Coilovers

I'm looking at a 240 and one of the things on the car is a set of Bridgestone Coilovers. I dont know anything about these. They are height adjustable and supposedly the damping is also adjustable but you have to go in and change out the valving. My question is are these any good anybody know anything about them?
Thanks
Josh

My friend had them on his s14 not sure what model they were hieght adjustable with the lower spring perch non-dampening adjustable but they handled good and they were just stiff enough not to stiff to have a shitty ride. For the price I think they were a great set of coilovers. Basically a matched spring and damper combo with an adjustable lower spring perch

penske is also one.. theyre used extensively in race cars... really high dollar items. i wouldnt suggest usin them for the sreet... the nice things about those CO tho is that u can rebuild the shock urself and switch springs easily....

Also fyi, both of my sets were running 7k springs front and rear.

I remember that on ebay I saw some ... RS*R coilovers... not those super expensive ones on RS*R Japan's website... oh well, perhaps this thread proves that you don't have to get Tein, Tanabe, etc etc, there are options out there - just need $$$ to find out

the only problem I see with buying these unknown used (to most of us) coilovers are the fact that if you need rebuild, wtf do you do? On the other end, you don't really lose much spending 400 - 500 getting used coilovers... I don't have coilovers, nor can I afford one, so... strut/spring combo and keep learning about the notorious understeer...

I have driven an s13 with kaaz lsd and rsr downsprings/kyb agx shocks and sway bars. With no adjustability for the front camber it did tend to favor the understeer but only at the limit and it was very easy to drive around. I small amount of wieght transfer to the front and it kicked out nicely. Problem with it was since it did under a little more than I am used to I couldnt hit any clipping points with the car where my car you can put it right were you want it. But it drifted nice and to the untrained eye probably looked really good from the outside. I guess what I am trying to say is unless you are competing with a little skill the spring struts will work fine.
