S14 Manual Tranny to S13 Car - v7647574xSideways8

I've been searching as usual for at least an hour and have come up blank on one simple question.

I am using an S14 manual transmission on an S14 KA in my S13 wired car. I obviously will not be using the Crank Sensor that is at the top of the tranny, so do I just leave the hole open or patch it up?... or should I just keep the sensor in there and leave it unplugged?

Even though I've searched and read quite a few pages, it seems like everyone is swapping S13 trannies into S14's... so I definitely know all about leaving it off or drilling a hole and custom mounting when it comes to that case... hehe.

Thanks guys.

-John

Leave the sensor in, plug it with a big bolt, or fill it with dried feces.

Slizzoo, hit on the nailhead and if you read the auto to 5 speed swap faq I wrote, in our faq and archive section, you would see on the S13 all you need to do is what slizzoo said. I.E. Hook up your reverse lights and your speed sensor. I ran a S14 5 speed in my car, I left the top of the bellhousing sensor on unconnected.

Yes I knew about the other sensors, that's why I didn't ask about them. And I did read your write up. It is nice, thanks for doing it, but I have a hard time breaking down and making my way through sentences that don't contain punctuation or breaks, etc. I looked at your write up for at least 10 minutes and couldn't find anything about the sensor.
