![]() So I'm looking into buying a set of work equip wheels, (the old versions...similar to the s1 meisters so the spokes are concave, not the flat ones).
The wheels are 17x8.5 +43 and 17x10+48. How will these sit on a 240sx fastback (180sx) w/o flares? Will I need to roll my fenders, or should have a nice flush (keeping my fingers crossed) Also, Will these clear Z brakes? Any input will be very helpful and much appreciated. |

You won't have to roll your fenders, but you might have to roll your coilovers. I can't see that these would fit at all. I have an S14, I know that is not a direct translation to S13, but those wheels would not clear on my car. I think they would hit the struts/springs.

that's some sissy sizing. if you really must get them though... you'll need around a 25mm spacer f/r. clearing z brakes will depend on the spoke design. depends how flush you want it. if you want it to line up perfectly +slam, you'll need to roll fenders +stretch tires

How about you don't look into buying those gay offset wheels. Those aren't worth running at all. They'll rub coils and be sunk like shit. Get something over 0 and less than 25 and I think you'll be in the sweet spot.

offset too high, need big spacers.
If you want bling/performance, expect to spend $$$ (mid to high 3 digits AT LEAST). If not, put on some spacers on stock alloys and call it a day. end of story.

Easy to fit offsets for 8.5" up front would be +20mm.
In the rear, a 10" wheel with a +35 would be good. So pony up for a 20mm spacer for the front, and 15mm for the rear..that is, if you wanna run decent sized tires (i.e. at least 225 F, 255 R) That will fit with no pulling (maybe a slight rear roll), and look good. It won't be rediculous "DrIFteR" flush...but will fill the wheel well nicely. - Brian
