![]() looking for a restrictor, like this one, but i guess 1/4" cuz we have one that is shown in this link but it will fit t3/t4 but won't fit t3/t04e.
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=OIL but today my friend got his t3/t04e from phoenix turbo and wanted to use the 1/8" npt restrictor that he got from atp but its too small ![]() need help on these issues: 1. so i'm asking does garret t3/t04e have a bigger oil inlet size than their t3/t4? 2. i checked out the atp and it says theirs 1/8" will fit on t3/t4 but is that different than t3/t04e? could be, we thought they meant all hybrids....cuz it did fit on his previous turbo (xs power t3/t4). but won't on his t3/04e. 3. where can i find 1/4" npt restrictor ? or a restrictor that fits t3/t04e? 4. assuming the inlet size are different and seeing that on my friends t3/t04e, can the same restrictor size for t3/t4 be used for t3/t04e ? |

If its not 1/8 I don't know what it would be. Go to the hardware store and spend $2 on a few different NPT fittings that look close untill you find the right one. Or I suppose you could just measure it.....
I called Phoenix Turbo just this week to order my T3/T4 and I asked them about restrictors. I was told that if you are using a -3AN line you don't need a restrictor. In addition, the guy said that they had recived a few turbos for rebuilding that had died from oil starvation using a restrictor on a larger line, like a -4AN. Thats just what they said, I am no expert. So I am changing out my -4AN to a -3AN and calling it a day. |
