FMIC Battery location
Im getting a front mount intercooler and I realize that I'd either have to relocate the battery to the trunk or buy one of those smaller batteries. I would much rather buy the smaller battery as I hear from others w/ the SR swap that it is just as good as the regulars. Where could I find these smaller batteries? Are they a particular brand name? How much? Once again, thanks guys.

Im using a 425amp lawnmower battery. Works great, and is very small, and 25$ rather then 60-80$ for a car battery. My friend has a 350amp lawnmower battery on his CA and it works great. But I looked up the battery spec's for an SR, and the amprage is 400min-520max. That is why I got the 425 rather then the 350, even though the 350 works fine.

lol. wholly shit for real?! Damn, I never would have thought taht would work. Your using on your SR? Where could I pick one of these batteries up? Home depot? thanks bro. I'll definetly look into it, but I'd feel a little safer with a car battery. lol. But nonetheless, please tell me where you got it. It interests me very much.

You can get it at advanced auto, pepboys, walmart. etc. There is nothing to feel unsafe about since it is the same thing as a car battery just smaller. The battery teminals are different. They are small semicircles, with a hole in them. All you do is: Think about your cars battery terminal wires. It is a split circle with a screw that tightens it, undu the screw, put "circle" over the terminal then run the bolt through the circle and battery terminal. Takes 2 minutes.

how much does it cost? im a little short on cash but anything would help as long as it can take it and as long as it fits. I'll definetly look into the odyssey though. Sounds great.

There was a guy that ran a hamster on a wheel. After three days of the hamster running, he cranked the car up. The shitty thing is, once he started it, the alternator fried the hamster. Ive been thinking of using hamsters as fuses for a while. A small unfed hamster would be a 5amp fuse, normal hamster would be a 10amp, and an overfed one would be a 20amp. So if you have a mic infront of the hamster that goes to a speaker in the car, you could hear the the hamster scream which would mean the fuse is good. If it stops screaming than you blew a fuse. The only issue I see, is the hamster could possibly catch on fire from an exsess of electricity. A resolution for this issue is to wrap the hamster up in tinfoil so if it does catch on fire all the oxygen will be used up quickly, and the fire would turn out.

lol. Nah dude, screw hamsters...im thinking about converting over to squirrels. I heard they have a lot more stamina and can produce atleast 45amps. Although they dont scream when being fried...they just shit out thier asses. lol. what the hell was the point of that???????!!!!!!!!! anyways, back to the thread.

Odysseys suck! i have two in my garage from the past year from my best friends car. the bad thing is, you can never recharge them, once there used up, theres no hope left in them. he switched to a miata battery and it works great...

looks good man, really does. But I need something a lil lower in price and hopefully that I can pick up ASAP rather than ordering. Thats why Im looking into those other batteries, but I can seem to find the year of Miata or civic that will fit in there. I tried my 97 HX Civic and its too wide. So i know its not a 97 civic as for the miata, i was thinking maybe around the same year as well, but I cant seem to find out.

i thought all miata batteries were the small ones in the trunk, try a mazda dealer if you need one fast. and i know ive seen small batteries in auto places. if you really need one fast, lawnmower batteries will work temporarily of course, and they are cheap and easy to find.
i relocated mine, it was fun, better weight distribution. not cheap or easy though, definitely for the hardcore.

Whatever the case may be I'll be looking for a car battery that comes small enough from the factory. They are rechargeable, convienient, and Im sure the CCA's are acceptable. ( i live in texas, it doesnt get that cold here) Im also thinking of taking off all of the windshield wiper resevior and tank...I dont need it anyways. Damn, I never knew batteries sucked so much lol

Pretty inventive if I dont say so myself. But the piping is like all other FM's... Goes right through the battery tray. I had custom piping made but it sucked really really bad. lol. Looks good though bro. I'll definently keep it in mind for future reference and for friends.
