For the cost of fabrication, why not just go with an S14/15 or GTiR T28?

Not to mention that the ct26 isn't altogether that capable. The mr2 guys don't see much more than mid 200's typically with them, and on the larger motor it will fizzle pretty early in the rev range.

Why not just upgrade to a t3/t4 and get it done right the first time?

the ct series turbos are outdated turbos, its not worth it. especially just one ct26, at least go with the ct20 from an mr2 (later years, if you can get one, but these are rare and expensive and not near worth it). you can get t28's cheap, but something like a t3/t04e turbo or another garret or mitsubishi turbo thats extremely cheap and common but sized right for your engine and power goals will be much better, especially if you are making a custom manifold for it. read "maximum boost" by corky bell for more basic info on turbo sizing and making manifolds.
