Buddy of mine found it. Looks pretty good. Glad there's another lip out there other than the greddy for the jdm kouki s14 front bumper we can get.

it seems like they're making good copies, compared to other companies.

It's still not Urethane like the OEM or the Greddy. Fiberglass is known to crack on the bias not from torsional loads.

Ya, for the price, WTF, buy the real deal. Anyway, the reason (where I come from) people didnt buy real C-West lips was because no one ever had any and the lead time was too long. The MSRP on their entire catalog these days is highly acceptable for the quality you get. Maybe its just me, but $280 MSRP and $580 MSRP for REAL C-West lips and front bumpers is a great f'ing deal.

There's never any good pix of the C-west lip, so you'd have to buy on imagination pretty much.

It's prolly the reason i'm not sold on it, i need to know if it lines up with the s14 skirts

Yes it will. Ever had a urethane bumper? Attack the curb, it bounces right back. Paint might get scraped off, but you won't have any cracks. Fiberglass would be a million pieces.

the material isn't like ebay fiberglass. it's some hybrid fiberglass. nut shell, almost like urethane.

You'd probably have to get the rest of their C-West kit to make it flow evenly.

Thanks. I think that OEM one is too shallow and the ABS would be easier to destroy.

The flexibility defnitely does matter. I practically folded the the whole thing under itself pulling into a garage that I could clear the cement lip. It just sprung the car back, no damage at all. Thanks to 4 coats of clear the paint was fine too.

i know the guys that own the company that makes the c west knock off (went to school with his brother) their products are pretty good and they take a lot of time making everything fit well ive been to the shop while they were finishing a bumper and i was very impressed BUT it is still a knock off so im sure it wont be perfect

Are you referring to the OEM one as being ABS? If you are, then it's actually polyurethane also.

I remember if I held the OEM lip on one end the other side would kind of just twist freely, like the people are doing in that picture above, except holding it on one end only. Reminded me of a gummy worm or something, haha.

I just saw the ebay auction. The buy it now price of this lip is $250. The MSRP from C-West is $270.

The difference in cost is only 20 bucks.

The C-West lip is made out of PFRP which is the hybrid fiberglass material. Sometimes people justify buying the knock off product stating how much cheaper it is than the authentic product, but in this case the difference is only 20 dollars. Personally I'd rather pay 20 extra bucks and ensure that I get the quality part.
