![]() Goin z32 front calipers and I know its gona be a lot stronger braking power, so las nite I did some threshold braking to make sure cars ready...
I accel to maybe 20-30mph, then step on the brakes harder and harder then stand on em [I want to stop hard, not skid]. Then rite b4 the car stops, I heard a clunk from the driver front wheel, and the steering wheel twitches. Feels like the driver front wheel is getting toe out. I have NISMO TC rod bushings, s14 5lug hub [so cant be older than 1995 bushings], and my tie rod is 1991 oem. Suspension is full coilover with pillow mounts. SO... any ideas wut that clunk is? My best gues is that since I have 17x7 +35 in front, the wheel center is a lil further out, putting torque at the hub, and making one of the bushings compress? Anyone else have this prob? Solve-able with poly bushings?

Also, make sure you TC rod MOUNTS are tighly bolted down(well up). Mine were very loose when I got the car, that was UBER scary,My fire wall moved and my head lights angled way down it was so bad, 10 minutes with a 14mm socket and bamo, so more wheel movement, well other than my TC bushings are trashed, but any way, good thing to check, just get under there and make sure everything is tight.

how the hell does the firewall move!?! Thnx for the feedback tho. Its all torqued to spec... its too loud to be the coilovers... those have been torqued to factory spec too...
sum other ppl said maybe one side is locking up first?... or steering rack bushing? Ill get under it tmro :/ Its not too too major, car drives fine. Just a concern I had when imagining lots more braking power, and upcoming track day/s.
