Raced a Boxster on the Freeway the other day - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

I was cruising down I5 the other day with a friend of mine, then suddenly, lo and behold, we come across an older guy (50-55) driving his boxster w/ his 14 yr old son in the passenger seat. Being the jack-ass that I am, I get up next to him and sound the BOV, they both look and he smiles. Well, traffic was pretty heavy so we just went back and forth messing around till suddenly we burst out into a clear spot, no cars for at least a mile. He's a little bit behind me and I see him get on it, I wait till his front bumper is even with my back, then I drop to 4th and its on... so he gets up next to me because he has more momentum (remember, he got on it first) but just about the time he pulls even, I hit full stride and proceed to walk all over him, it was great. I shut it down when I had about 5 cars and was still pulling hard. A lil while down the road he got up next to me and gave me the thumbs up... he was really cool

At the next over pass I saw a state-patrol racing to get on the freeway, and at this point I'm thinking: "damn! I CANT BELIEVE IM GONNA GET ANOTHER TICKET" so the stater get on the freeway RIGHT next to me, and I ask my friend "Is he gonna pull me over?" right about this time, the stater hits his brakes, drops in about 6 ft. off my bumper and hits the over-heads, now I'm thinking I'm really fuct. Well, I pull over about 3/4 out of my lane, and the stater high-tails it around me, now I'm thinking "Shit, he's going after the Porsche, damn, that guy was cool, too" well, I see him heading after the Porsche and right as it looks like hes gonna pull him over, he passes him too and ends up pulling over some newer Celica. A few miles down the road we caught up w/ the Porsche and exchanged a few thankful sighs, then the Boxster got off...

My cars specs are all listed in my sig, however I feel compelled to mention that right now im only running stock boost and my clutch is shot (I havent actually installed the ACT yet, its sitting in my room)

no, that is not a good idea, so ima have to go ahead and say, that was stupid. im guessing u werent around when everybody went nuts here and started locking threads, and changed this whole forum by making an OT chat, which was only a 50 50 chance, but i guess West and others pulled thru and got it done.

and ur true about the topic, but i see that "dorifto240" is only a newbie with only 22 post, and so are u with23, im not saying hez new on this whole fix up my car thing, but im assuming hez new to the forum, becuz of the newbie label, and doesnt know the ropes, like how newbies dont know to use the Search function and keep asking "will RB26DETT fit in my car?" or "s15 conversion, wat does it take?" and im only posting that posting up race kills is not a good thing cuz some ppl dont wanna hear about it [also takes up space], but others like it.

Absolutely - b/c accidents at 100 mph are SOOO much better than those at 25 mph!

Mark, who witnessed a pretty ugly streetracing crash this weekend.  As I passed, a girl was crying and screaming something about "there's blood coming out of his head!"

couple things...
first off, driver doesn't speak for me, at least. we SHOULD have a race stories forum....

second, man... screw body kits. unless you actually require all the vents, or need a bigger bumper to fit around your monster frontmount spearco, there's no need... they're supposed to make your car look better, but the drag is killin' your performance on a stock 240. the 240 looks great stock... my friend Jim has an Erebuni front lip on his '98 Celica GT, and the bottom of it is ripped to shit from all the times he's bottomed out on it. i go to a school with 4" tall speedbumps, there's no way i'm getting a bodykit....

hmmm.... anything is possible, but seeing as how a 3rd gen rx-7 doesnt weigh much more than an s14, it doesnt seem very probable unless he has a shit-load of stuff done to his car..

adey- The meet that I went to was a smaller one back in August, we met in Marymore Park then drove up to Skagit County (my romping grounds) and drove Chuckanut Dr. all the way to Bellingham then took Lake Louise Rd back to I-5..... Nerfdude BANNED Join Date: Jul 2002 Posts: 495 Trader Rating: (0) Feedback Score: 0 reviews	couple things... first off, driver doesn't speak for me, at least. we SHOULD have a race stories forum.... second, man... screw body kits. unless you actually require all the vents, or need a bigger bumper to fit around your monster frontmount spearco, there's no need... they're supposed to make your car look better, but the drag is killin' your performance on a stock 240. the 240 looks great stock... my friend Jim has an Erebuni front lip on his '98 Celica GT, and the bottom of it is ripped to shit from all the times he's bottomed out on it. i go to a school with 4" tall speedbumps, there's no way i'm getting a bodykit....

I CANT BELIEVE IM GONNA GET ANOTHER TICKET" so the stater get on the freeway RIGHT next to me, and I ask my friend "Is he gonna pull me over?" right about this time, the stater hits his brakes, drops in about 6 ft. off my bumper and hits the over-heads, now I'm thinking I'm really fuct. Well, I pull over about 3/4 out of my lane, and the stater high-tails it around me, now I'm thinking "Shit, he's going after the Porsche, damn, that guy was cool, too" well, I see him heading after the Porsche and right as it looks like hes gonna pull him over, he passes him too and ends up pulling over some newer Celica.
