s13 headlights look awefully like a 1992 doge colt

the s13 jdm headlights look very similar to a 1991 dodge colt, has any one else noticed this? sometimes i almost regret doing the conversion

dodge colts are actually mitsubishi lancers, or somthing made by mitsubishi. anyways so that would make them JDM? or not really... anyways yeah its a nast combo. but the silvia looks way sexier than the dodge colt anyday. that just me tho..

Yeh I guess i can see that, but I totally dig the Silvia projectors for the S13 they look nothing like those Colt headlights. I don't think I would regret doing the S13 conversion. I want my coupe to be converted so badly. Someday........

i think alot of cars from that time period look really similar... i know im gonna get yelled at for this but the 180sx looks alot like an old probe and the s13 coupe looks alot like an old prelude too.

Hahaha. No shit.
Just take a look at the 88 accord hatch.....AE86 anyone?
Manufacturers are all about copying each other.

My question is, are those colt lights Nissan?
It is very common for auto manufacturers to share parts, especially if they are for a foreign market.
So, they could be.
But, then again that little picture you posted is so damn small, you can't get a good look at it.

Fuck this, I'm going to lunch.

I got a buddy with a dodge colt GT Euro sport. It's got a 1.6L DOHC turbo motor out of an eclipse. Came from factory like that. I don't know how many they made. I have only seen two in my life, as short as it has been. That thing is farken fast though.
Pop up's are the way to go.

the colt is a nice little sleeper with a 4G63 in it

but i don't think the actual headlights look the same as the S13. the corner lights are the same shape i guess but that's the only real similarity i see. the S13 is much more agressive looking (although i hate S13 projector lights) in my eyes.

and i'm not really fond of popup lights (although all 3 cars i've owned have had them, a miata, a conquest, and now my 240) so the S13 non projectors would be my choice frontend.

the s13 silvia front end is hella cool.....ever since i put that conversion on my fastback, i can't help but love how great it looks on the s13 chasis.

a friend of mine actually thought we had the silvia in america but i told him he was mistaken it for a mitsubishi, which of course is post in the previous post...

For some reason, every colt and old-school galant I see in junkyards around here is missing the corner lights. Perhaps ricers go around taking these thinking they are silvia corner lamps??.... or maybe they are the same.... hmm...

That, or every colt/galant driver runs into stuff with the front corners of their cars.

Just an observation.

Yeah, i raced against Diamond Star Specialities Colt GT with a set of coilovers at a track event early this year, I had never even heard of one, but man, that thing hauled ass... I had to ask him about it because it suprised the heck out of me with how fast it was. Pretty cool.

it's a Mitsubishi Mirage (not "lancer" back then :P)

an acquaintance of mine back home has one of those all riced to hell. he managed to mold a civic combat kit onto the front and some other stuff onto the sides and rear. I believe it has some kind of aluminum wint on the rear of the roof.

performance mods include 5" diameter PVC intake (haha) and obligatory fartpipe

havent seen it in a while

That's pretty much it. When I had a busted corner lens on my S12 200SX, it took months to actually find one in a junkyard. They were all either snatched before I got there or broken like mine.

Found this, but no one has compared the side markers of the Colt/Mirage to the Silvia. Could someone possibly? It'd be a dirt-cheap option to us who don't care if it's JDM as long as it fits right.

1.6L never came in the eclipse, and don't say JDM because the eclipse was only produced stateside. the 1.6turbo was in the colt/mirage and is a 4g block but not the 4g63. the 4g63 is a decently common swap into an olf mirage/colt chasis.
