clutchmasters stage 3 clutch comes with a lightened flywheel. I don't remember exactly what power increase you get from the flywheel, but I think there's some thread on that awhile back. Try the search function if it's working. The upgraded clutch catches a lot better though and it seems to go up to redline much faster. I'm sure someone else can give you more info. If you want to find a site, just go to google and search for it.

How much money do you have man? Are you replacing every part on the car or something? Posting every little question isn't my idea of research. We are here to help you, not to do all the work because your too lazy. Ya know zilvia.net has a wonderful Links section to find lots of places to buy parts and get information. A simple browse through this site would have shown you that. Do your own damn research!

Man i'm not lazy and name calling isn't cool. If it bothers you alot to answer questions then why did you write that dumb reply. I'll ask as many questions as i can think of and also if you don't like then just don't read it, but i bet there are alot of people who will. But no hard feelings i don't get pissed as easily as you.

I know that ptuning.com has a fidanza flywheel and ACT clutch. As for power increase, there is none. You're not going to increase power by improving the drivetrain. What you will do is free up power by not having as much mass to twist. Therefore, you will put down a little mure HP to the wheels, but not actually generate more power. So it would probably make the car seem a bit lighter. But from what I hear it's a good mod to do if you've already done all the basics.

For every pound that you have off the flywheel, you effectively gain 2hp at the crank. Stock flywheel is around 21-23lbs. I wouldn't shave more then 4/5 lbs. As the previous poster noted, you are reducing reciprocating mass so that the your motor isn't using its power to spin the flywheel.

You looking at about $150-200 bucks to lighten your existing, or pay 300-500 for an aftermarket.

I have found that racesearch.com is a pretty good place to buy parts, They carry clutches, flywheels and just about anything else you want and they ship it very quickly. as for how well fly wheels work, for the dollar they are one of the best up grades in my opinion. matched with a good clutch your take off and 0-60 will dramaticaly increase. for every pound of rotating mass you take off your car it is equal to 27 pounds of dead weight. so by putting an 11 pound clutch master fly wheel on your car you have just efectivly redussed your car rughly 280-300 pounds that is why they are so good. clutches and fly wheels are the first and formost upgrades done to new cars on our team (usually).

and sil80 it was cool of you backing dave up but I don't think racial slurs are necessary.

LOL! 27 pounds of dead weight for every pound off a flywheel! I know you weren't trying to tell everybody it is an instant, total 300 lb weight loss!
LOL!!! LMFAO!!
Now. For all those insistant on bieng numbnuts, and claiming a hp gain from flywheels, here is the cold, hard truth about the effects of a flywheel.

Effective weight =
.5 flywheel weight x ((FlywheelRadius x Gear x FinalDrive)/(TireRadius))^2
So. Lets plug in numbers.
Our flywheels are what, 220mm or so. That's 8.66". Lets use that. Stock flywheels weigh what? Lets us 22 pounds, cuz some guy said 21-23. A Fidanza weighs 11, right? Finally, the tire is 24 inches, at 16" alloys, 205/50/16.
1st Gear:
5.5lbs x ((4.33" x 3.32 x 4.08)/(12"))^2 =

131 lbs lighter.
2nd gear = 43 lbs lighter
3rd gear = 20 lbs lighter
4th gear = almost 12 lbs lighter
5th gear = 6.8 lbs lighter.

First, sorry David. I'm an ass hole sometimes. It just bothers me when someone new comes in and starts asking ton's of (seemingly) random questions without trying to research first. But I don't always do it myself so... I did help you though, even when I was being mean I linked you to our links section. There are TONS of great places to buy stuff in there.

WOW GOOD INFO JEFF! That little snipit ought to make it to the archive.

Hehe, Tommy Gun we don't know (or really care since it doesn't matter here) what race david is...I don't think sil80 was using cracker in a racial sence

no you don't gain hp at the crank, but you do at the wheels, which is the only thing that matters

what i can understand from a long explanation that was given
by someone who is well versed in physics is that you don't gain more horsepower you just gain the horse power quicker.
dont expect to gain more than point something of a horse.(.02)

There is a driveline loss at the flywheel. It is usually quite negligable, somewhere around 1.5-3% losses, depending on how heavy your flywheel is.
So if you go from really heavy, 3% loss, to something really light, say 1.5% loss, on a 240sx, you are only talking 1.5% of 155hp. Thats a mere 2.325 horsepower.
But a 3% flywheel is like those on a z31, which weigh 30 pounds or so. Ours are 21-ish.
We'd probably go from a 2.5% to a 1.5% loss, which would be 1.4 horses or so. I'd rather think about the weight loss aspect. It's better to pay $2/lb in first gear than pay $233/hp. It would just settle my mind better.
