Yep just bend the bracket.

also, pull your fuel pump fuel and run until your car dies. That way you won't shoot a mess of gas when you pull the old filter.

Just press it right in the mount...it should have no problem snapping right in.

Depressurize the tank as they described and snap the new filter into the stock bracket. I just did this last week.

Do it in a VERY well ventilated area, despite tediously depressurizing my fuel system (both taking the lid off the tank and running it w/o the pump fuse), gas still got all over me and the floor. The garage stank for days even though I had our garage exhaust fan on the whole time.

Edit: VENTILATED! God damn I'm so freaking ill right now I can't even type right.

Well, this filter has fuel flowing through it on a V6 twin turbo motor...so naturally it would be a great idea to toss it on your 240 if you plan on doing any mods that would necesitate more fuel.

Don't they cost a couple bucks less than the 240 fuel filter? I'd think thats the only reason to do it on a mostly stock setup, but i could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's the low cost too.

the only reason you would want to put a 300zx fuel filter on your 240 IS to say that you have a 300zx fuel filter on your 240. there is no proven advantage to this"MOD" if you want to call it that I replaced my OEM fuel filter with a Purlator FF and i noticed a slight increase in pick-up because the old one was ...old! just my 2cents
