hmmmmm

How would it handle - pretty good if they did it right.

They're not doing it right, though.

Well, maybe it's right for a drag car.

The Roadmaster LT1 has iron heads instead of the aluminum of the Camaro/Vette LT1. There's an extra 50lb over the front wheels.

The TH350 is a big heavy ancient 3-speed auto. The modern 4L60E that would have come on the LT1 stock would be better.

Lack of power steering is going to make this front-heavy beast a BIATCH to turn-in.

I still can't believe they put an engine and tranny out of a Buick Roadmonster in it, instead of putting a Camaro or TA w/ MT in it. They wasted so much money and time, yet they could have done it even better w/ a better setup (if you can call it that )

The tranny isn't even from a '90s Roadmaster, it's from a mid '70s car at the latest. The Roadmaster would've used basically the same 4L60E auto as an auto Camaro, which is a nice modern 4 speed auto. An auto is fine behind a huge V8... though I'd prefer the 6 speed myself...

it looks like they are building a street racer, combination brackett racer and for that the auto is prefered. I think those racing guys like the TH-350 maybe because more parts about available in summit racing for it.
