Hello guys my friend is looking to buy a 1993 240sx. he went to test drive it but he heard vibrations in the trany in 2nd, 3rd and 4th similer to baseball card on spoked bike rims. any trouble shooting advise??

theres probably no or low fluid in the tranny, they make that noise when low on fluid.

yea check the fluid level, and also it could be your throw out bearing getting ready to go

i don't think it would make that noise driving.

Input shaft bearing. If the fluid is fine then thats most likely what it is.

either way, i wouldn't buy the car as it seems to be neglected

Or just replace the tranny if it goes. Its only about $100 bucks for a new tranny.

If it is low/empty on tranny fluid check the tranny output seal. Could be leaking out from there.

F**k it. Have the seller drop the price as much as they can, and buy a tranny off a fellow Zilvia member.
