Paintjob quality sucked!

sorry i had to express my anger and hope to see if anybody has anything positive / negative to say is ok...

okay so now after 2 months i am coming to face the fact that my paintjob that i had done on my car really came out shitty.. i live in Santa Ana and i paid 1,500 to get a paintjob done on 5th street yeah wow 1,500 dollars on a paintjob i expected a good job. i got it back and i was excited because when i bought the car it was primered and it looked like shittt!! so this is the main thing i am angry about around the door handles u can still see some primer ( even where u insert the key ) also they even somewhat painted my exhaust :-0 and they somewhat also painted part of my radiator...
but yeah what do you guys suggest?
i know its late to go 2 months after the paintjob to go and ask him to repaint the door handles

what should i do??

the paintjob was a metallic daytona blue just in case it matters

You should have checked out the work they did before giving them $1500. You should have also addressed the issues right when it came out of paint. Deal with it and learn a valuable lesson from it.

it is kind of late. but you paid a pretty sum, i would go fight it. but then again, i wouldn't pay until i examined the work.

Aww 2 months thats too long....Yeah at Maco or whatever they call it just goes crazy and sprays anything and everything I seen it done to my friends car...had a nice exhaust too colored teal of some sort hahah yeah its ok ill try find out where i got my paint but i think u'll be discouraged into spending more money on paint sry man... : (

Overspray is a Mother that's why I took all my front end off. Stillgot some on my coils.

and i had also seen theyre work they had a classic mustang and was painted nicely and thought mine would come out the same way
and i was like :-0 no fuken way i even had to go back because they forgot to paint between the pignose bumper!! :/

1500 is on the cheap side for a full respray, however its too bad you got a bad painter...

yeah man i am going to go tomorrow altho its late and theyre going to wine about it i will take it to the limit of askin ppl with higher authority about this.. i will keep you guys posted tomorrow with updated shit that happens and hopefully i get it repainted on some parts if not then the battle begins....

From my friends exprience for a good paint job in SOCAL you gotta spend at least 3G's. Like anything else before considering a shop look at the previous work/inpro work and the facilities. And ask a shit load of questions and hold them accountable for the answers if you decide to have them do the work. My friend is going on his 3rd paint job in 5 months with his 69 chevelle. Almost the cost of the classic restorators price with way less quality. I think any decent shop would fix your issues just make sure they don't make it worse.

same thing happen to my friends car here in socal .. color was lambo orange and it came out looking close to brown and they got lazy left the molding on lol...good thing i was there with him I told him don't bring the car home they need to fix this shit repaint..guess what it came out great.
Lesson learn always inspect every detail take your time before driving it home.
I'm sure you can still have them fix it be persistent on ur demand. Did you sign a contract saying if your not satisfy money back guaranty?

well i just came back from the place and its not there anymore ..it was taken over by some other painters and now its called some either wack ass shit..oh well ima look for another 240 shell and have it painted from there and get my motor on the other one. :/

Is it the same shop under new mangenment type deals if so they might still paint it.

Sorry to hear, maybe the new painters would do better jobs. If I lived in Philly, I would've taken my car to Solosilvia for paint. Sometimes cheaping out ain't worth it.

I do paint and bodywork, and where I live a respray w/o doing jambs in 2500 and that is also for no bodywork. 1500 for a complete color change is dirt cheap. They didn't remove the handles that is why it is chipping away from the edges. The more taken off a car the better the quality of a paint job.
