chassis harness isnt getting power?

So today, I was using an oil filter wrench while changing the oil on my S13, when i accidentally tapped the wrench to the thick power wire going to the alternator which ending up sparking and grounding out for a split second.. (the boot wasnt even on the terminal).. well, at first i didnt really think much of it, but now nothing in the chassis is receiving power. The car runs and drives, and the headlights still work.. however the gauge cluster, tach, radio, dome light, tail lights, power windows, and signals dont work... i checked all the fuses and relays, and nothing is blown.. anyone ever had this happen before? any ideas what might have happend? tomorrow ill get into it a little bit more with the multimeter, but as for now i need some ideas

sorry, didnt fully read your post. Basically now you have to get a test light and pick a wire on your cluster thats a power wire. Trace it all the way back till you find the problem, and hopefully that will be the whole problem

I know you said you checked all the fuses but i had a similar problem with my gauges and such only to find out that the 75amp grey fuse was blown. It's actually a fusable link..is what it's called. If that isn't the case then you have a short in your harness, maybe a bad diode somewhere alone the line. i would advise you to check for continuity in your harnes. good luck! Be more carefull next time.

Most likely the fusable link, as Sogu said. Just because it looks complete/not blown, doesnt mean it's good - check it with a known good one (autozone/etc). That's what should blow, anyway.

its your constant 12v+ and/or your switched 12v+. pop out the deck and grab a test light. its easy access back there and plus your deck harness wires usually labeled.
