Most common thread EVAR!

But seriously, my shit got stolen, and its been a couple of days, at this point I figure that its either parted or in mexico, so its time to get a new car. Im really discouraged from s13's, partially because I had finnally gotten mine where I wanted it power and handling wise, and the idea of starting over kills me a little bit inside, and partially because fucktards seem to like stealling s13's. Not really a fan of s14's though.
Im really going back and forth between getting an fc or an mr2 as replacement, but Im really indecisive. Im really looking for something around 4-6k thats light weight and rwd. What do you guys think? Maybe convince me to get back into an s13...

Hint:

Live in WI and drive stock 240's. You'll never have to worry about it again.

Seriously though that sucks. Don't let these fucks ruin your hobby. That almost happened to me about 9 years ago.

yea, I mean I still want a boosted car, just not sure about another 240. Which is kinda sad, because 180's are one of my fav cars as far as from factory (as fanboyish as it is).
And as soon as im done with school im getting the fuck outta Tucson.

Hell, live here in Iowa. With a boosted car I could tape the keys to the window and it still wouldn't get stolen.

You should look for an e30 325. Prolly a 88-90. Best body style. Light, rwd, plenty of potential.

Yeah I'm even tempted to go that route as well. Thing I'm not sure about is their reliability.

My 2 E30s have been awesome, undrestructable.

Get a 325is though, my 318is is kind of a dog in comparison.

The m20 engine in the 325 is a tank, mine has seen near zero oil pressure a couple times and alot of beating on it with no huge ill affects so far.

how does it compare to a KA in terms of power, mpg, reliability?

Powerwise I like my 325 more than my s13. I feels like it has some more torque. It has close to the same powerband, it dies off up top just like the KA.

Gas mileage wise I can't really comment on with my 325, I put a 4.10 lsd in it and a shorter tire. So it runs alot more rpm than stock.

My 318is gets 30ish with combined city and highway.

fc rx7 *rotary haters here, find a good one and maintain it and it will take care of you* but thats good, people are too scared to get em so the community is fairly small
300zx
gs300
sc300

if you go euro or some high end car, you wont have the stress of modding or "tryin to impress zilvians" lol

I actually wouldnt mind a stock FC vert for a daily G ride, they still look attractive

First Gen GS300 are cheap

Only in certain areas, and the test is fucking EASY. My s13 passed with a clogged cat, bad EGR, and burning oil. lol

Before I was paying for school, yes, Now that Im in school, the only money Im going to have is the money I get from my insurance. Community college was cheap, and Ive always had decent income, but U of A is slightly more expensive. Thats why it hit me so hard, because I put thousands of dollars (have 7 g's or receipts from paypal purchases alone) into the car when
I had the excess income to do so. Now I dont. Thats Why Im looking at something clean, light and stock boosted. No need for all the power I had before, but it would be nice to have something a little quick.

the cheaper the FD, the more its gonna cost to fix, usually cheap ones = abused motor... otherwise expect 15k+ up for a good one.. Look on the bright side, they somewhat held their value, alot better then the Z32, and not as ridiculous as the supra.

I tried selling my sr s13 for a shitload back in the day and ended up just tradin for a benzie.... now a days you can get a clean sr20 swapped 240 for less then 5k and already be on your way.

That sucks dude, when I was 21 my crx got jacked in AZ. I got it back a week later all striped out and with the pass door crushed in. It did lead me to get a s13 however and now that its turbo'ed and has coils its much more fun to drive. I would suggest you get a mr2 of you can find one (that's what I wanted as a first car but I only had a few k to spend) their like a small ferrari 355. Fc's sill look cool for their age there lighter than a s13 but the motor is a problem, if you want the opposite and have some extra cash left over... 88-92 supra?
