Mines leaked fluid for a while now and I used prestone ATF stop leak, It seems to stop leaking for a while now but im wondering if this shit is bad for the pump and stuff cause now it feels a little harder on power steering.. any one done this before?

You're supposed to you ATF in the 240sx power steering system.
The internal seals may be bad or maybe theres a small hole in one of the lines. Replace whatever part is leaking, thats what i did. I have a new ps pump, steering rack and pressure line and return lines. Only thing not new is the resevoir to ps pump (feed) line and i just cut off the ends that were worn from old clamps put it back on with new clamps, tightened everything down and now it doesnt leak anymore. |
