Car pics from the track.

Sorry, no action shots cause I was driving ALL day. Hopefully some other photoninjas got some. Also, video is on the way... it should be some from Charlie and some from Chris. Mostly of me and Charlie doing some tandem in Dorifto180sx and Driftheaven, and a lot of Chris tearing Buttonwillow a new asshole in the Signal car.

Yeah so anyways.... here's the link to the album. http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4288368333&idx=1

Here are most of the pics:

Noah throwing the "6 pack", Chris with the "Spreaders" and I'm rockin the "Carolina Hello... 4 in the poo, 1 in the goo".

Nice front bumper

That tire wear can be eliminated with some serious camber angle to the rear...try to keep them flat in all but strait ahead driving. 3 to 4 degrees on my rears worked wonders and they did not get eaten out like that....smooth wear across the treads....(and I like to drift at 60 to 75MPH)

Man...that front is sexy now!!! (superficous road rashola does the 240SX good)

Now it is mad tyte jdm

Uh, not to be an ass, but thats way too much camber for me.... I have too much and i run -3. The outside is worn cause Dousan used my car for a small parking lot event and was limited to 2nd gear. So he wore down only the inside. I got the tires flipped so that his damage was on the outside... but I wore them down quite a bit more also. Basically, My coilover setup wants me to run like -2 or 2.5. My damping in the rear is softer than most people, but I have 7kg springs (as opposed to most people who get 8/6... i have 8/7). What that does is allows my suspension to compress, so under power-on drifting it gives me more grip. The stiffer spring allows the car to compress only a little so i dont roll as much and my contact patch remains fairly constant...

Oh yeha for those who don't get to Freshalloy or Ziptied.com, this is how it happened:

"Yeah, my Hotroad bumper is about 4 ways to Saturn right now. It was um.... funny and sucky all at once.

Here's how it happened... At Buttonwillow there is one section coming off the front straight (running counter clockwise) where its like a 45 deg. turn, then a short straight, then a 90 deg. turn. Well, through out the day I had been linking the 45, straight, 90 and blasting out all in one sideways furry of burning rubber and dust. It was honestly fucking nuts. Basically I would come it setting up for the 45 in the top of 3rd, feint, power-over (one of the only turns of the course where i used basically only power-over) clip the 45 apex, track to the outside edge, dip a wheel in the dirt, lift my inside front tire to the sky, come back on and clip the apex of the 90. there was some throttle modulation but I'll tell you what, for the most part i was right up near that 7200 rpm in 3rd.

A couple times I thought, shit what would happen if I miscoursed. Well that thought lasted about 4.3 seconds as i set up for the next turn. Then i never thought about it again until this happened. Meh.

to make a story short cause i have got to get to work, I basically dropped half my car in the dirt instead of just 1 wheel, and off tracked, bumper folded under my car, brake all the zipties holding it on, and i ran it over, of which time it proceeded to explode into, as Chris had put it, "about 24 and a half pieces". Meh, whatever, Chris was riding with me at the time, and we had fun doing it, so... all's good. "

I see!

It was Aarons fault eating out the tires in 2nd with that much camber (hehehehe)

Well...I knew something was amiss...(Sorry Aaron...i still respect you...all in fun)

That explains it for sure.

I actually like the bite of a softer rear....at various speeds. Thanks for the info!!!

yeah hehe..no worries buddy, no offense intended of course

yes low speed drifts KILL the tires fast

it was a 4ag cone evnt but i had a lot of trouble in linsays car at times...nothing even close ot mine. it was my fault but it was still fun. i had a lot of 'adjusting' to do on his car too, so it ate a lot of time my and perfecting all sorts of stuff, but we have very different styles...

anyways..next event ill drive his car again for a run or two

did anyone besides me see DoriftoSlut get right back on the track after demolishing his bumper and continue to drift the shit out of his car.......... despite having just ruined a $500 bumper?!?

PIMP shit.

That was a good event!!!

I'm stoked....... my diff stopped making as much noise as it was....... don't know why, but it was definately pissed at me for a bit there.

Good gracious man! When I heard from Aaron that you messed up your bumper, I just waved it off thinking that we could probably patch it back together.... but damn, you did a THOROUGH job of it. hahha anyway, it sounds like you had fun. Hopefully next time I'll be driving at the event to see your next bumper die.

Dorifto,

It was good seeing you the other night. I love the pics, I wish I could have been out at the track to experience the madness 1st hand. Too bad about the bumper, but all part of the game, right?
