Vinyl Wrap your Crack Dash?

Im not sure if there is a thread on this yet but has anyone ever fixed their cracked dash and then vinyl wrapped it ? If so could you possibly throw sum pictures up.

i THINK my neighbor had a few pics of this but he doesnt log in anymore cause some of the resident smart asses scared him off. i'll see if i can find them

I put some over a small crack as a temp fix. It reflects bad off the windshield, just get a new dash.

The vinyl wrap is to thin. It will split eventually.

No no, I was suggesting that you should try Satin Black vinyl to avoid the problem you had since it's not glossy or very reflective...

yeaa thats wat i was thinking also. U probadly had like gloss black... I would def do satin black on my dash. Althought someone did say it will tear easy. I guess it really depends on how well u take car of it? I hear of cars that have been vinyled and have lasted more then 5 years ? correct me if im wrong

It's more that you are trying to cover a crack that will only grow and cause the vinyl to split under the strain.

Sanding and filling then wrapping with a thicker vinyl fabric would be a better solution.

unwrap the dash fill crack with foam sand smooth use some bondo sand rewrap with fabric of ur choosing or make a fiberglass mold for a custom lightweight dash and make a guage pod into it
