Quick help with 5sp Swap

I have read all the FAQ's and searched and cant find an answer. So this is the question. I have all the 5sp related swap parts from an s13 +s14 console trim, s14 5sp ecu, new shift knob/boot, new master to slave cylinder hard line, new trans mount. Will I run into any problems doing the swap with s13 parts? I have heared the pedal might not fit and the driveshaft might not fit. but I have also heared it will all work out fine so what is the correct answer. This is my only car and I want to do the labor in one day so the car isnt down. I will install the clutch pedal and do all the wiring I can one day and then do the actual trans swap another day so I dont have the car down and undrivable for a week while I fiddle with it. I dont care if I get the speedo hooked up right away or anything but as long as I can drive it and then work on it after work or on my days off to finish it off. But it I drop the trans and do the swap and then find out the driveshaft doesnt fit I am going to be without a car till I can find an s14 driveshaft. Btw all parts are from an sohc car. '89 I believe. Anyone that can help that would be great. Also anyone that has converted the auto to manual trans wiring harness that would be helpful as well and the 5sp ecu will just plug right in correct? thx!

You have to have the right tools to finish this swap in one day. It took me four days....but I still haven't got the car to start up. :/ As for the ECU...its recommended to get the same year 5spd ECU. I have no idea what you can do on the tranny harness since the tranny is from a '89 SOHC.

i have a 1995 5sp ecu so thats fine, I will do the wiring before I swap the trans so I will bypass the parking and neutral switch and mount the clutch pedal and master and some other stuff before I do the actual swap. I have air and pretty much all the tools I could ever need so that wont be a problem. I am not afraid of the wiring just need to figure out what needs to be done exactly so I can do the swap. I think all thats holding me up is driveshaft now. The trans harness on the 5sp only activates speed and lights correct? or does the ecu see the gear selector possition for any other reason?

I used three connectors from the 5spd harness for neutral, 5th and reverse. I clipped them all off the harness and wired the 5th and neutral to the ECU. Then I wired the reverse to a connector from the A/T harness. Right now my car will not start....and its most likely a bad alternator. :/ You can use your auto ECU....but you will get a rough idle....which I will also try out just for the heck of it.
