s14 ka24de timing chain

My car has been making this knock* sound coming from the valve. I checked it out and it seems that my chain is loose or something.. thought I can solve it with putting Lucas oil. But now it sounds like it's gettin worse.. should I bring it to the shop to get the chain adjusted or something? Last time I got it checked they said it's the chain losing it's tension. Anyone had this prob before? Please help.

you probably need a new timing chain tensioner, your better off buying the complete kit. and replacing them all at once, if your not very savy then have a shop do it for you.

Look at upper timing chain guide by taking off the valve cover... Remove it. If you still have the noise you're going to need tensioner and guides
